  RPATS Client/Server - Rogers Communications

  Rogers Project Activity Tracking System (RPATS) is one of the most extensive applications we have developed. RPATS is designed to manage ongoing projects by ensuring realistic schedules are met and compiling detailed progress reports at the regional or corporate level. The software tracks all project timelines, construction contracts, manages IP segmentation requests, produces to-do lists by planner or department and oversees all pending and closed permits. Each project is tracked on a milestone basis and progress can be viewed by project, project type, planner, department, region, etc. All reports are exported directly to Excel where they can be further manipulated. Recently RPATS has been expanded to incorporate IP network segmentation tools along with an extensive Bill of Materials package tied to the existing project structure.

  RPATS is built on a 3-tier client/server configuration with clients connecting via any TCP/IP interface. (LAN, Internet, Dialup, VPN, etc) The TCP protocols were all developed from scratch to optimize performance. Further performance improvements also include in-line data compression, request caching, a multi-threaded server, automatic client upgrade distribution and server side reporting. The server component also connects to various corporate databases to cross-reference information with other departments and import/export Redline projects.

  RPATS is the primary project-tracking tool used by Rogers Cable and continues to be updated frequently. It is currently deployed across more than 750 workstations at Rogers.

  BoxOffice - Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television
An award show management system with ticket sales, seating, ticket printing, financials, and on-site box office modules.

  BoxOffice was developed to fill a need in the area of award show planning. The software manages all aspects of an award show from ticket sales, accounting, reception/table/theatre seating, nominee and presenter tracking, ticket printing through to ticket pickup and on-site ticket booth operations. It includes on screen visuals of both table and theatre layouts, and is designed for concurrent use by multiple users. The new handheld component also allows boxoffice staff to carry up to date seating information during the event on a PDA. Box Office has managed all Genie and Gemini award shows since 1998 and was used to seat audiences for the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Canadian Idol shows.

Gemini and Genie award show management (Entries, Juries, Reporting, etc.)

  Affectionately known as G&G this application manages all of the entries and nominations for the Gemini and Genie awards. G&G tracks each specific award entry from the moment it is submitted through the jury and nomination processes and into the final award show. Each entry contains information on the nominees, producers, show/film synopsis, checklists, producers, production companies, and much more. Dozens of reports are also available including the automated production of mass mailings, judging guides, membership booklets, etc.

  G&G ties directly into the Academy's membership and BoxOffice databases to make all data transfer seamless. G&G also exports the nomination data directly into a format for use on the websites. Instant updates!

  The ACCT Membership software is truly the heart of the Academy's applications. This tool manages a database of people and companies affiliated with the Canadian film and television industry. It contains everything from contact information to agents, industry branches, regional affiliations, etc. With over 40,000 entries it is the one of the most comprehensive entertainment industry databases in Canada.

  The Membership application also manages all aspects of the paid membership for the Academy from billing and generating invoices to maintaining a detailed history for each member. It brings the data together from all three offices (Ontario, Quebec, and Vancouver) into one central location for easy management and can produce financial reports on a national or regional basis.

  This database also functions as the source for people and company information for all other applications at the Academy. This prevents any duplication of data and ensures one streamlined process through the entire organization.
